To celebrate the centenary of women’s suffrage, award-winning author, Sheena Wilkinson, visited St Malachy’s High School to talk about her new novel – Star by Star – which recently won the Honour Award for Fiction at the CBI Book of the Year Awards, 2018.


Star by Star is a tale of suffragettes, heroes and survival, as war ends and Spanish Flu sweeps across the world. Sheena gave a fascinating and informative talk to a Year 9 class about women finally winning the right to vote.Included in the photo with Sheena Wilkinson are – back row, L-R – Donal Rogan, Daleena McAnallen, Michael McCabe and Micheal McEvoy.
