St Malachy's High School was delighted to welcome award-winning Irish author Sarah Crossan to the school library.
Among Sarah's titles are The Weight of Water (2011), Breathe (2012), Apple and Rain (2014), Moonrise (2017) and One (2015) about conjoined twins, for which she she won the Carnegie Medal. Sarah spoke to our year 10 students about creative writing and in particular her novel Moonrise which they are currently reading. Sarah's visit was entertaining and inspirational and hopefully resulted in more fans of verse novels.

Sarah is pictured with Year 10 students and with acting Head of English Mrs Pauline Burgess, English teacher Mrs Rachel Travers and Librarian Mrs Ann-Marie Moran.
