Once again, St Malachy’s High School’s Lenten Campaign was a huge success this year! Rosie Murray attended the school this week to receive the cheque for £10,000.
Many different events were held and we are delighted to have raised £10,000 for this great cause which we are proud to have supported for over 40 years now. Some of the many events which took place were the annual Good Friday Fast which saw many of our dedicated senior students collecting for Trócaire. The St Malachy’s Got Talent competition raised a huge amount and was well supported by the community. Form classes raised a huge amount through raffles and a separate staff raffle was organised. Our sincere thanks also goes to the many local businesses who donated the many raffle prizes to support our campaign.

Pictured are students from all year groups who helped with the fundraising with teachers Mrs Clare Murnin (Head of School Productions & Publicity), Mrs Sinead McNulty (CEIAG in charge of counting the funds raised), Mrs Maruna Hanna (Head of Senior School), Mrs Sharon O’Hare (School Bursar), Mrs Grace Duffin (in charge of counting the funds raised ), Fr McKinney (local parish priest), and Rosie Murray (representative from Trócaire).
